07/08 - 07/12	IAAF World Youth Championships Bethel Park's Trevor Barron was 4th in the 10000 meter RaceWalk with a personal best of 42:22.79. The winning time was 47 seconds faster, and he was 19 seconds out of third. Fawn Miller, Lakeview, threw 146-08.25 to take 11th in the Javelin trials. She did not advance to the finals. Earlier in the meet, Carlton Lavong, Methacton, (photo courtesy of Joy Kamani, NSSF) was 13th in the finals of the long jump, going 23-00.50. Sarah Morrison (former Chambersburg HS runner, now at Villanova) broke Melissa St. Clair's (former Chambersburg HS runner and Elizabethtown College All-American) record of 5:08.5 set in 2005 with her time of 5:03.1

Tim Wertner (former Greencastle-Antrim HS runner, now at St. Francis) still holds the men's record with a time of 4:28.4 set in 2007.
